Saturday, or Sunday - who ( quite honestly ) cares? |
And, in fact, since we're always utilizing the word: " Arbitrary " - in reference to All Of Those Commandments, as given by God - let's, now, just examine it for the purpose of spiritual clarity.
According to MerriamWebster.com, the word Arbitrary is clearly defined as follows:
- Existing or coming about seemingly at random; or by chance; or as a capricious and unreasonable act of will.
- Based upon or determined by individual preference or convenience; rather than by necessity or the intrinsic nature of something.
- Not restrained or limited in the exercise of power; ruling by absolute authority.
- Marked by, or resulting from, the unrestrained and often tyrannical exercise of power.
- Depending upon individual discretion ( as of a judge ) and not fixed by law.
Firstly, The Sabbath Came About Through The Deliberate Act Of Creation; And Nothing About It Was Ever: Random, Left To Chance, Capricious, Or Unreasonable....
In fact, in Genesis Chapter 2 we can very clearly read:
" Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested upon The Seventh Day from all His work which He had done.
Then God Blessed The Seventh Day And Sanctified It [ declaring it holy ], Because In It He Rested From All His Work Which God Had Created And Made [ because of this reason ]. " - Genesis 2:1-3.
As we can now see, therefore, ' The Seventh Day Sabbath Is A Weekly Reminder To Precisely Who God Is Our One And Only Lord And Creator '... and, unlike any other day that we might arbitrarily choose to later set apart in our worship. In fact, for no other day in the week can such an authoritative claim ever be made!
Thus, in John Chapter 19, we can very clearly read ( the following ):
" Therefore, because it was The Preparation Day - that the bodies should not remain on the cross upon The Sabbath ( for, That Sabbath was A High Day ) [ aka, The Biblical Passover ] - the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken [ to speed up that process leading to death ], and that they might be taken away.
Then, the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. But, when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead [ much earlier than expected ], they did not break His legs [ then, having no need to do so ].
But, one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear; and immediately blood and water came out. And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.
For, these things were done that The Scripture should be fulfilled: ' Not One Of His Bones Shall Be Broken. '
And, again, yet another Scripture says: ' They Shall Look Upon Him Whom They Pierced. ' " - John 19:31-37.
And indeed, according to Luke Chapter 23, His Own True Followers were still faithfully observing The Biblical Sabbath...
" Now behold, there was A Man Named Joseph: A Council Member, and A Good And Just Man. He had not consented to their decision and deed.
He was from Arimathea - a city of the Jews - who himself was also waiting for The Kingdom Of God.
This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then, he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock; where no one had ever lain before.
That Day Was The Preparation; and The Sabbath Drew Near.
And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils.
And, they rested on The Sabbath according to The Commandment. " - Luke 23:50-56.And that, dear brothers and sisters, is precisely because: ' The Law Of God Cannot Quite Honestly Change '!
Secondly, The Sabbath Was Not Based Upon Individual Preference Or Convenience; But Rather The Inherently Unique Nature Of God's Own Act Of Creation....
Some Stories are now Extremely Educational.... |
And yet, that is What God Himself Fully Expects Us To Do... with, Earnest Spiritual Conviction.
And thus, it is written in James Chapter 4:
" Do you not know that ' Friendship With The World Is Enmity With God [ for, we are not even upon the same page ] '?
Whoever, Therefore, Wants To Be A Friend Of The World [ by obeying its own foolish customs and traditions ] Makes Himself An Enemy Of God [ through ignoring those commanded by God ]. " - James 4:4.
Thirdly, All Such Obedience Has Always Been Strictly Voluntary; Since God Has Provided Free Will To All Of Us From The Very Beginning....
Let me, now, ask: " Are You In Good Hands "? |
" I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.
Now, therefore, Fear The Lord; serve Him In Sincerity [ with all utter diligence ] and In Truth [ and, following His every commandment ]; and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt. Serve, The Lord!
And, If It Seems Evil To You To Serve The Lord, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites - in whose land you now dwell.
But, as for me and my house, We Will Serve The Lord.
So, the people then answered and said:
' Far be it from us that we should forsake The Lord to serve other gods; for The Lord Our God is He who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way that we went and among all the people through whom we passed.
And, The Lord drove out from before us all the people; including the Amorites who dwelt in the land. We, also, will serve The Lord; For He Is Our God. ' " - Joshua 24:13-18.
He seeks to change Times and Law! |
In fact, Daniel Chapter 7 speaks of Him [ The Anti-Christ ] in this way:
" He shall speak pompous words against The Most High, shall persecute The Saints Of The Most High, and shall intend to change Times and Law.
Then The Saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.
But, the court shall be seated; and they shall take away his dominion; to consume and destroy it forever. " - Daniel 7:25-26.
Fourthly, The Seventh Day Sabbath Is Founded Upon The True Law Of Liberty; Which Is Founded Only Upon Ten Commandments....
In fact, James Chapter 2 clearly explains this important and spiritual theology:
" For whoever shall keep The Whole Law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
For, He who said: ' Do Not Commit Adultery, ' also said: ' Do Not Murder. ' Now, if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, then you have become A Transgressor Of The Law.
So speak and so do as those who will be judged by The Law Of Liberty.
For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. " - James 2:10-13.
Thus, The Exercise Of Mercy By Us [ through the actual observance of His Law ] ensures that Mercy Shall Be Granted In Return [ in all of those other cases now pending ].
Or, as Yahshua once stated in His Own Sermon On The Mount:
" Blessed are The Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy. " - Mathew 5:7.
Fifthly, The Seventh Day Sabbath Is Found In The Very Heart Of His Law; And Owes Nothing At All To Individual Discretion....
You see, dear brothers and sisters, The Fourth Commandment is found in Exodus Chapter 20 [ verses 8-11 ]:
" Remember The Sabbath Day [ because, some of you will most-certainly forget ], to keep it holy [ no matter what anyone else may tell you ].
Six days you shall labor and do all your work [ for that is a necessity of your own physical survival ], but The Seventh Day is The Sabbath Of The Lord Your God [ a specific time set apart for our own meeting and rest ].
In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested The Seventh Day.
Therefore, The Lord blessed The Sabbath Day; and He hallowed it. " - Exodus 20:8-11.
Meanwhile, of course, ' If The Seventh Day Sabbath Was Set Apart For Meeting And Communing With God '... then, people should ( now ) seriously think about asking themselves: " Who Are They Now Meeting And Communing With Upon Sunday [ Or, That Exact Opposite Day Of The Week ] "?
After all, this ( quite honestly ) isn't as difficult a teaching as: " Modern Day Rocket Science "... and, you can actually believe me; because, I've Already Discussed That Topic As Well!
And, Lastly, The Seventh Day Sabbath Was Very Clearly Spoken Of In This Way....
In Exodus Chapter 31 [ verse 13 ], we can ( very clearly ) read:
" Speak also to The Children Of Israel, saying: ' Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, For It Is A Sign Between Me And You - Throughout All Of Your Own Generations - so that you may know that I Am The Lord Who Sanctifies You. ' " - Exodus 31:13.
And again, in Ezekiel Chapter 20 [ verse 12 ], we can ( once again ) read:
" Moreover, I also gave them My Sabbaths; to be A Sign Between Them And Me; that they might know that I Am The Lord Who Sanctifies Them. " - Ezekiel 20:12.
And once more, in Isaiah Chapter 66 [ verses 22-24 ], we can read about His Own New Earth Kingdom:
" ' For as The New Heavens and The New Earth - which I shall make - will remain before Me, ' says The Lord: ' So shall your descendants and your name remain. And, it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to the next, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, ' says The Lord.
And, they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me.
For their worm does not die, and their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh. ' " - Isaiah 66:22-24.
The Foolishness of Israel and Judah. |
But, you know what won't be around then to witness it?
All Of Those Blatantly Defiant, Stiff-Necked, And Hard-Headed: " Sun-Worshipers " - because, They Had No Real Desire For The Truth!
Ahava and Shalom.
May Yahweh's Own: Love and Peace - be continually upon you!
